Promoting the work of artists and art organisations
Singing Bowl Media and our collaborators all share a strong passion for the arts. Across the years we have offered affordable services that can support many artists, arts projects, and cultural organisations through video documentation.
Hotham Street Ladies | Framed by Gender | Knox City Council
Coordinated by Knox City Council supported by VicHealth and in partnership with many community organisations and local groups, Framed by Gender included art installations and a program of innovative workshops that used art as a medium to engage in conversations around gender equality with the Knox community. Knox City Council required several videos that could capture the process and outcomes of two very different artworks by Hotham Street Ladies and Anna Fargo. The videos were used to help promote the project through social media during its development, as well as stand-alone exhibition pieces that could be screened to a wider audience once the project was finished.
Art and You | Arts Access Victoria
Why is art important in your life? Using the voices of young people with a disability talking about why art is important in their lives, we created a video to support Art Access’s ‘Connecting the Dots' project. The project includes a range of resources to help people advocate for art as an essential part of their NDIS plans.
Promo 2017 | Gertrude Street Projection Festival
In 2016 and 2017 we produced a series of videos for The Gertrude Street Projection Festival artistic program, a festival that forges a connection between artwork and audience through projection. A project of the Centre for Projection Art, the festival showcases artists who contribute to an immersive, interactive and enchanting experience that ignites the collective social imagination. Armed with x3 cameras, good in low light, and some super warm jackets, we documented opening night and produced this video!
Music House | Singing Bowl Media
Music House invites its viewers into the homes of unique Australian musicians, allowing a rare insight into the inner sanctum of the artist. Within each home we are presented with a live performance and an intimate interview with each artist profiled. This series highlights an eclectic array of talented musicians from markedly different cultural and social backgrounds who each share a passion for creating music…of vastly different styles.
